Session 1, Day 1, 2009
First day of camp! We started the day off with a ‘things that fly’ game of charades and snack out at the lagoon. Then we had an egg drop competition! The campers paired up and each pair received one long piece of tape, 4 pieces of string, one styrofoam plate, one napkin, and one small piece of plastic to use in anyway to protect their eggs from cracking after being dropped from the second level of the museum.

In the afternoon the campers had the chance to choose from a few different activities. Some campers went out to the lagoon to explore its ecosystem and they brought samples of pond water to the high powered microscopes in the Biology Lab.
“We picked up samples of water from the pond and we saw microscopic things- I had in my sample a fast green bean looking thing.”- Camper
