Dark chocolate is uniquely high in potent, heart-healthy flavonol antioxidants. Plus, there is less sugar contained in it due to the high concentration of cocoa solids.

I am reading everywhere that sugar is the source of many diseases and premature skin aging that's why I try to avoid it as much as possible. But when I crave for a sweet, dark chocolate is the best way to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Watch out though, dark chocolate could be 40% or 90% I go for over 70% cocoa solids.

This is true, you have to have a minimum of 75% cocoa solids. I take a small square a day. Not sure if it does any good but it real nice with my esspresso  Cool

It's true you need to get the high percent of cacao. Not like nasty cheap choco.

Cacao contains the same anti-oxidants (phenols) as red wine, which have been shown to possibly protect against heart disease. Pure dark Chocolate bars contain greater quantities than wine!

Like olive oil and avocado, Cocoa butter, the form of saturated fat found in Chocolate, does not raise blood cholesterol levels -- only saturated fats derived from animals do, nor is it stored in the ways that saturated fats cause weight gain.

I use chocolate as a buffer for my tummy before I have alcoholic drinks. I find it very useful for avoiding gastric burns from drinking too much. Chocolates also help pick up my mood - so there's a feel good factor there!

Cocoa-rich dark chocolate could be prescribed for people with liver cirrhosis.

Hi, chocolate can be good for health. It contains antioxidants, called flavanoids, which provide us with some tremendous health benefits. Chocolate also has some other, less healthful but more fun benefits with its ability to harmlessly activate opiate receptors in the brain.

Chocalate has always been a feel good food for me anytime of the day. It tastes so good. I personally have noticed that eating chocolate can sometimes make my headaches more mild due to the small amount of caffeine that it contains.
