I think that adding sugar might work folks, I believe it will make your dish less spicy.

One day my dad ate a pizza with a rough chili lurking on it and he was lieing on the couch for hours with eyes in his mouth and tears rolling down his face!

Very funny!

Sour cream works wonders to cancel spiciness. You can also use straight milk or cream, but sour cream really does an amazing job and tastes great. Yes, it means a "different" dish, but creativity is a key to success in the kitchen. Contrary to some other advice above don't use water, it will simply make a "bland" watery mess, and though dilution is a solution it will also ruin your food. Trying adding sour cream, and play with the taste. Also, lemon juice will help create a flavor that overcomes the straight spiciness (this is due to chemical reactions between the spiciness and the acidity in the sour ingredients). Good luck!

So, to recoup, you can fix it with water, sugar, sour cream, milk, lemon juice, or all at once Smiley)

Wow, u guys are really knowledgeable.

If I need to dilute curry or spicy dish, I'll use coconut milk (creamy) or if you're worried about cholesterol, use yogurt instead.

Someone told me drinking milk can tone down spicyness, but I don't know how true is that.

Yes, that drinking milk is very useful and I drink milk down the right, but they are well known too much drinking thing cause damage

This is my first participation in this great forum and I hope to be an active member and share your
