a naked egg is an egg without the shell.
sounds like any other egg that's cracked and had the shell pulled off right?  Well in this case the shell is disolved with vinegar but STILL leaves the egg membrane.  so it looks like a see-through and is kinda squishy to the touch but is still held together.

we cooked a naked egg into French toast. After 48 hours in vinegar, the egg had a funny flavour. It took a few minutes to realize why the French toast and raisin bread tasted different, but extra maple syrup helped when eating it.

    I remember that experiment! I never did anything with it back when I learned about it, but now I have a little more "seasoning".

    I was thinking that if you used a flavor infused vinegar, like maybe rosemary vinegar. You might have success with using quail's eggs and adapting it for a starter, or a Canapé. Although, I don't know what the difference in texture or flavor would be compared to infusing that flavor after cooking. Is a pickled egg still just a pickled egg?

    I would have to have a lot of time on my hands to try something with such a perceived, limited application.

Nopeee, i dont think its a good idea to cook with naked eggs...

Does anyone know ANYTHING about Naked Egg Drop bcuz i have invitationals this weekend and i dont know what the heck i am doing. someone PLEASE reply!!!
