This 20 gallon tall aquarium with DIY cement & polystyrene formations is being built for testing our build
materials in saltwater.  In theory, we already have one thing going for us.  By natural design, ocean water
has a higher PH than freshwater.   The high calcium content in the cement promotes higher PH.

The main question is how the Quikrete cement holds up in saltwater over time. Liquid acrylic was used in
the cement mix as with all my freshwater builds, so Im hopeful things will hold up in the saltwater just
as well.

I am researching for a project I am producing for ESPN. If you could name one thing, one invention, one breakthrough that has revolutionized saltwater fly fishing in the last 30 years what would it be and why. I really appreciate any input you may have.

I noticed they are on closeout and a really good price.  I am about to build a steelhead rod for myself and its also going to be my first build so i didnt want to get to fancy with it.  I was wondering how well the 7wt 2 pc. saltwater fly blank would work for a steelhead rod.  What is different with the salt and freshwater rods.  I noticed the saltwater rods have a smaller butt diameter.   thanks any advice would be great
