The water test is the easiest way to see if it's still fresh. Nice to read so many ideas though.

There really is no good way to test the freshness of an egg. How many times have you found bad eggs from the supermarket?

Buying eggs from a supermarket doesn't guarantee egg freshness but having chickens in the yard certainly does.
