To see abs, you'll want to reduce your overall body fat below 12%, for males. You can do that by replacing cards in your diet with proteins. Eat more meat and vegies rather than grain-related products like bagels, pasta, etc.

Some good suggestion here. I have tried a number of these. Seems like my biggest issue is pushing away from the table sooner  Tongue

Smaller portions can make a big difference. Although its easier said than done.

You could try the 'placebo effect' by using a smaller plate. This means that it will still look full whilst containing less.

Definitely cut out the saturated fats and do regular exercise, even if its just a brisk walk. The very best thing to do is to take a 15 min walk immediately after your meal. This way your body takes the fat from the food you've just eaten rather than storing it for later.

Best advice would be to eat fresh organic food, maintain an element of portion and calorie control. Exercise at least 3 times a week. Flat stomach = some work.

Hello;

I am surprised to see the list of foods for a flat stomach. I have been working out in Gym for 7 months and got good results but my stomach is still a bit out. I am not healthy and fat in real terms juts have small tummy and minor hips but my family keeps me pinching on this.

I was told by fitness coach not to take egg with york, no yogurt and no apples. now wonder whom to follow.

Losing weight is all about math.

Put less in then you put out and you will lose weigh - simple as that.

Stick to the foods of the earth: vegetables, fruits, etc  Cool

Good luck!

Hi,

I would disagree....its not about the weight of the food you put in...LOL

If you eat 8 chocolate chip cookies and carrots that weigh the same as the cookies the chances you gain weight from the cookies then the carrots is through the roof..LOL

Take care

I find that proteins in general are good. I find that not drinking liquids 30 minutes before or after a meal allows the body to naturally digest your foods too.

The person who said the carrots and cookies analogy has a point, but so does the previous poster.

I am a trainer. 100 percent of the time, when people properly count calorie intake, even with 15 minutes more a day of exercise only, they lose weight.

Now, if you had 250 calories of carrots (properly an entire small bag) or 250 calories of cookie (probably only 2 medium cookies), you would lose weight. It has nothing to do with weight in this case, but everything to do with caloric intake.

It's a balance. If you eat only fruit, you feel sick. Only protein, you feel sick. Count your calories.   Smiley
