Most curry powder is a mix of many of the spices in your kitchen. Cumin, turmeric, cardamom, fenugreek, ginger... etc. I think the hard part is mixing the right amounts.

I love all kinds of curries. Thai Green curry is my favourite.

You can just go over to about.com or ehow.com etc and find loads of great free recipes. Or just Google it.

I use recipes from Pataks - you get 7 or 8 little tubs of spices to add as you cook the meat (or veggies) - it tells you when to add each one and how long to cook before adding the next one. Very easy and tastes great

Making the curry yourself is not as laborious as it may seem - however you will have to make it a couple times to figure out whats best for your tastes. Spiciness is also another factor to take into account... mash up some veggies and throw those in!

I've yet to find a restaurant quality recipe for Chicken Tikka Massala. I've tried and tried and I just can't get it right. Any ideas?
